What is Pontem?

Pontem’s story

Pontem Network is a blockchain product studio building the Move ecosystem.

Pontem began in 2020, more than a year before the launch of Aptos, building for Meta’s Diem blockchain and its Move language. Our original objective was to link the permissioned Diem ecosystem and the rest of web3.

When Diem’s leading engineers and executives launched Aptos in October 2022, Pontem pivoted accordingly, focusing on applications and tooling for the burgeoning ecosystem.

The Pontem team

Our team comprises over dozens of people spread across 10+ countries. You can frequently meet our executive team at the biggest blockchain events:

• Boris Povod, co-founder and Head of Technology: blockchain developer since 2014, created the first-ever JS DpoS blockchain in 2014;
• Stas Oskin, co-founder and Head of Business Development: a pioneer of B2C mining and DPoS blockchains with 20 years of experience in development and IT project management;
• Alejo Pinto, co-founder and CGO: led growth for IBM Blockchain and BlockFi and has 10 years of experience managing successful businesses.

Pontem Wallet

Pontem Wallet is the triple-audited crypto wallet on Ethereum, Solana, Movement, and Aptos. It's available on iOS, Android, Chrome, and Firefox. The Pontem Wallet features native integrations, with built-in support for swaps, staking, liquid staking, and more.

Pontem Wallet is now live on Movement.. This launch makes Pontem Wallet the first multi-chain wallet across the Move ecosystem, elevating it to a powerhouse multi-chain crypto wallet.

On top of this, Pontem Wallet offers a browser, dApp marketplace, markets overview, and more. You can even connect the wallet to a hardware Ledger wallet for additional security.

Liquidswap

‍Liquidswap is the first production-ready AMM on Aptos and is now also available on Movement, expanding its reach across the Move ecosystem.

The interface features built-in bridging via LayerZero and Wormhole, allowing seamless transfers of assets like USDT, USDC, ETH, BTC.bE, USDD, and more between Aptos, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Polygon, and BNB Chain.

Liquidswap DAO Token ($LSD)

In July 2024, Liquidswap introduced its DAO token, $LSD, now trading on KuCoin. Liquidity pools for $LSD are also live on Liquidswap. As the cornerstone of Aptos’ DeFi infrastructure, Liquidswap is set for greater decentralization with the $LSD token, driving community ownership and sustainable growth.

Pontem NFTs

We have released two 100% original NFT collections: Pontem Space Pirates and Dark Ages. Both were designed by our talented in-house artists. They weren’t just free to mint: all mint participants received APT as a reward!

Space Pirates is one of the top-selling collections on Aptos, stably ranking in the top 10 by volume on Topaz since the release.

Pontem Acquires Martian Wallet

In a major step to strengthen its position in the Move ecosystem, Pontem has acquired Martian Wallet, one of the most widely used wallets on Aptos. This strategic move brings Pontem closer to offering full-stack infrastructure — combining Liquidswap’s DeFi capabilities with Martian’s large user base and wallet tooling.

The acquisition enables deeper wallet-level DeFi integrations, enhances the overall user experience, and paves the way for seamless interoperability across Pontem products and the wider Move ecosystem. Read more here.
