Don’t miss: a Twitter Space with projects on Arbitrum, Metis and Optimism on July 14

Table of Contents

This is your chance to learn more about optimistic rollups – and win 50 USDT! On July 14 at 2 pm UTC, we’ll host an expert panel in Twitter Spaces that will bring together some of the most innovative projects in the optimistic space: Cashmere Labs, Perpetual Protocol, and XP.NETWORK.

When and where

  • Date and time for the panel: July 14, 2 pm UTC
  • Event links: Twitter Space and Discord.
  • If you miss it, don’t panic: we’ll post the recording on Twitter and in the blog, together with a recap.
  • The form to ask a question and win 50 USDT: form.

What is the panel about?

Optimistic rollups are a type of Ethereum scaling solutions. A batch of transactions is processed off the main Ethereum blockchain, and then they are rolled up together in a kind of bundle and the results are uploaded to the mainnet.

The three big rollups - Arbitrum, Optimism, and Metis - have more than $8 billion in TVL. Our Liquidswap bridge supports Arbitrum and Optimism, and many of you transfer funds between them and Aptos. Indeed, sending ETH on Arbitrum costs just $0.15, while on Ethereum you’d spend more than $2.

For this panel, we have an ambitious goal (as always): in just one hour, we’ll try to cover many aspects of this exciting space:

  • Technology – for example, what’s in store for optimistic chains now that ZK chains are on the rise? Which emerging trends should users watch closely?
  • Trends: What sort of use cases are there for optimistic chains, apart from scaling Ethereum?
  • Ecosystems and dApps – should optimistic chains keep their focus on DeFi, or will we see more NFTs and games, too?
  • What’s the best way for a rollup – or a dApp running on a rollup – to build and engage its community?

Once again, save the Twitter Space link.

About the speakers: Cashmere Labs, Perpetual Protocol, and XP.NETWORK

We’ve invited speakers from some of the most innovative projects in the space that cover the whole range of optimistic rollup use cases:

  • Reliq, CEO of Cashmere Labs: an MEV-protected omnichain DEX built on LayerZero (just like the bridge on Liquidswap). Cashmere AMM is on testnet for now, but it’s already working on 10 blockchains: Arbitrum, Metis, Optimism, and even Polygon zkEVM among them.
  • Dima Brook, CTO at XP.NETWORK: a powerful NFT bridge that connects almost 30 blockchains with their 10+ NFT token standards. It’s the first NFT bridge that integrated Arbitrum Nova (the new super low-fee chain by Arbitrum), and it already supports Aptos, too, so there’s an interesting connection here.
  • Jamie Holmes, Content Manager at Perpetual Protocol: a trading platform on Optimism that offers perpetual swaps, vaults that accumulate yields from arbitrage, and a staking product for PERP holders. The project is backed by Binance Labs, Multicoin Capital, and Mechanism Capital, among others.

As you can see, we have guests from all major optimistic ecosystems – and all of them are cross-chain, so the discussion promises to be really rich. As always, Pontem’s tireless co-founder Alejo Pinto will facilitate the panel.

So that you enjoy the panel even more, we’ve prepared a contest: 50 USDT for the best question. To participate, you’ll need to fill this form before the event. Enter your contact details and a wallet address – and if your question turns out to be the most relevant and interesting, you’ll get the prize a couple of days after the panel.
