We’ve just successfully closed yet another funding round led by Lightspeed Faction and Lightspeed Ventures with participation from Pantera Capital, Aptos Foundation, and other major funds.

From a stellar collection of “firsts” on Aptos into an even more exciting future

Our first funding round came in 2021 and was led by Mechanism Capital and Kenetic Capital, together with Delphi Ventures, and Animoca Brands.  It allowed us to build a whole suite of “firsts”:

• the first L2 to support both EVM and Move VM, Lumio;
• the first Aptos wallet with EVM support;
• the first DEX on Aptos, Liquidswap;
• the first Intellij IDE plugin for Move;
• the first Solidity-to-Move transpiler, ByteBabel, and others.

We’ve also achieved amazing traction, with $1M daily volume on Liquidswap, over 40,000 weekly users, and almost $21 million in TVL – more than any other DEX on Aptos.

We have even bigger plans for the next stage, where we will focus on expand the adoption of Move beyond Aptos and Sui, both through Lumio L2 and other products.The goal is to bring the scalability and security of Move VM onto other blockchains. In particular, we plan to:

• Deploy Lumio on the Optimism Superchain;
• Expand community testing of Lumio on Move VM and EVM;
• Release our AI-powered crypto assistant, Pontem AI;
• Develop new NFT collections;
• Continue work on concentrated liquidity pools and Pontem Gator, and much more.
